Joseph R. Roblee, 65, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013. He was born on November 15, 1947 in Fond du Lac, the son of Kenneth and Henrietta Roblee. Joe was raised on a dairy farm in Byron, Wisconsin along with his five siblings: Lorna (Tom) Friess of Fond du Lac, Barbara (Pat) Murray of Tomahawk and Mary Roblee of Cedar Hill, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth, sister Ellen, and brother Truman. Joe graduated from St. Mary's Springs Academy in 1965. After graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he obtained a level of E5 Buck Sergeant. Joe served in Korea, Vietnam and Germany. He obtained a Top Secret clearance and served as a courier for the State Department while in Germany. After service, Joe returned to Fond du Lac, where he enrolled at the University of Wisconsin, Fond du Lac. He completed his Bachelor's degree and Master's Degree in Education at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. Joe was a dedicated life long educator who served as a teacher and Guidance Counselor for the Beaver Dam and Mayville School Districts. He also served as Principal for the Mayville School District and became Vice Principal at Theisen Middle School in Fond du Lac. He ended his career at Fond du Lac High School as a school district administrator. Joe was an active member of the V.F.W. Oakfield Post 8092, the Fond du Lac Corvette Club and the E.A.A. He obtained his pilot's license and enjoyed flying as well as refurbishing his Corvette. In the late 1970's, Joe established JNR Services, which became one of the largest privately owned crop spraying businesses in the state. During his retirement years, he enjoyed working for Majerus farms in many different capacities. Joe married Nancy Dussault on February 21, 1970 at St. Louis church. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, two children Emily (John) Perdios of New York City and Eric (Sunna) of San Francisco. His two year old grandson Alexander often referred to his beloved grandfather as "Pappou," which is Greek for Grandpa. Joe is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.



Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 10AM-2PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
