Joseph Richard "Dick" Eversole

July 27, 1934 — August 26, 2021

Joseph Richard “Dick” Eversole, 87, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully with family close by on Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was born in New Castle, Indiana on July 27, 1934, to Robert and Mary (Horak) Eversole. On July 26, 1953, Joseph married his “Brown Eyes” Carolyn Richman. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

There was always fun, and laughter shared. Joseph’s legacy will be his playful spirit, pranks, the ability to love freely, and most of all his dedication and honor to his wife. Everyone that knew him always felt his giving and full heart.

Joseph and Carolyn shared a crazy and full life together with their children, Terri (Ron) Emanuel, Richard (Sheila) Eversole, Tim (Miranda) Eversole, Tanya Eversole, Trini Eversole, Traci (Ann) Eversole, and Todd (Tami) Eversole. He was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his brother, Tom (Jackie) Eversole; sister, Mary Lou (Sonny) Watkins; and brother-in-law, Steve (Kathy) Richman. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Tanya, and Trini Eversole; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill (Ruth) Eversole; and a sister, Sue York.

A gathering of remembrance will be held at a place Joseph loved, Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, 51 Sheboygan St., in Fond du Lac, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 29, 2021. Private family services will follow the gathering. Cremation has taken place.

“Our family is grateful for the kindness shown to them during this challenging time, especially the Agnesian Emergency Department, ICU, 6 South, Hospice Hope, Diann Roberts, and the Meadows of Fond du Lac, Dr. Michael Sergi, Dr. Punit Kumar, as well as the outpouring of love and support from family and friends. Their extraordinary competency and compassion made his journey, and ours an easier one.”
