Keith "Jerry" J. Kraemer

Keith “Jerry” J. Kraemer, 89, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, September 4, 2016, at his residence. He was born January 25, 1927, in Oshkosh, the son of Melvin and Alma McDonald Kraemer and grew up in Van Dyne. Jerry served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from June of 1945 – November of 1946. On May 20, 1946, he married Joan Corrigan in West Palm Beach, Florida. Jerry was co-proprietor of Kraemer’s Grocery on Forest Avenue in Fond du Lac before joining and later retiring from Nielsen’s as a computer programmer. Jerry was passionate about defending life and helping people to be aware of the value of life at every stage. His Catholic faith was very important to him, and he passed that on to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed camping, golfing, going out to eat, and was an avid reader and writer, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.



Jerry is survived by his 15 children, Lawrence (Christine) Kraemer of Theresa, Diane Kraemer of Fond du Lac, Theresa “Ann” (Alan) Bird of Oshkosh, Kathie Kraemer of Fond du Lac, Julie Kraemer of North Fond du Lac, Dan Kraemer of Fond du Lac, Jeffrey (Julie) Kraemer of Oakfield, Christopher Kraemer of Fond du Lac, Mary (Doug) Toll of Eldorado, Mark (Sherry) Kraemer of Malone, Matthew (Judy) Kraemer of Fond du Lac, David (Debbie) Kraemer of Fond du Lac, Elizabeth Kottke (Steve) of Fond du Lac, Maggie (Scott) Sales of Fond du Lac, and Amy (Mike) Docter of Fond du Lac; 39 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan; and daughter-in-law, Marge Kraemer.



The visitation will take place on Thursday, September 8, 2016, from 10:00 A.M. until 12 noon at Holy Family Church-Holy Family Parish, 271 4th St. Way, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at the church at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
