Kenneth G. Palmer

Kenneth Gordon Palmer, age 87, entered the presence of his Savior on Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born in Menomonie, WI, on January 6, 1935. A 1963 graduate of Wisconsin State College, Eau Claire, Ken taught Jr. High until he retired in 1997. He also spent many years coaching Jr. High basketball.



Ken married Hazel Snyder on August 3, 1957, and together they raised 5 children. He has served on the Village Board of North Fond du Lac and has always been active in his local church, most recently as a deacon and an usher. After retirement Ken and Hazel spent 10 years serving as volunteer church builders in several locations around the country.



Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Wes and Hazel (Woolley) Palmer. He is survived by his loving wife, Hazel; his children, Tim (Cindy) Palmer, Cathy (Mike) Morris, Tom Palmer, Betty (Tom) Flaherty, and Tony (Jackie) Palmer; his grandchildren, Jenny (Nathan) Gustavus, Kyle (Aria) Palmer, Nick (Sarah) Gustin, Riley Flaherty, Keenan Flaherty, Holly (Matt) Lutz, and Dylan (Brittany) Palmer; great-grandchildren, Parker Schmitz, Cooper Gustavus, and Scout Palmer.



Visitation will take place on Monday, August 29, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at First Baptist Church, 721 E. Scott St., Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A memorial service will follow the visitation at the church. Private family burial will follow the service at Estabrooks Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to First Baptist Church.
