La Donna M. Klein

La Donna M. Klein, 69, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born October 16, 1946 in Camp Campbell, KY, the daughter of Freeland and Cynthia Stephany Wendt. On November 14, 1964 she married Lawrence T. Klein at Presentation Catholic Church in North Fond du Lac. La Donna worked for Wendts on the Lake, Tom Hierl Insurance, Jerry Schuchardt Insurance and most recently owned and operated Wendt’s Marine with her husband, Larry until her retirement in 2014. She was a member of Presentation Church and the Van Dyne Lioness Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, golfing, playing cards, going to the casino, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.



She is survived by her husband, Larry; five children, Susette (Kenneth) Stephani, Sheryl (Ronald) Preissner, Stephen (Michelle) Klein, Sandra Klein, Scott (Heather) Klein; eight grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Stephani, Victoria (Justin) Werner and Casandra Witt, Brody Preissner, Matthew Klein, Emily and Jacob Klein and two grandpets, Socks and Ritz. She is further survived by her mother, Cynthia Wendt; three brothers, Michael (Mary) Wendt, Thomas (Roxanne) Wendt and Douglas (Renee) Wendt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene (Joanne) Klein, Elizabeth (Glenn) Redman, Mary (Richard) Johnson, Ronald (Betty) Klein, and Judith (Duke) Hawes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Freeland Wendt; father and mother-in-law, George and Gertrude Klein; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Klein and Dorothy (Chris) Keller; two nieces, Karen Klein and Elizabeth Klein.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 9:00 – 10:15 at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac, with Rev. Joseph Dominic officiating. Entombment will follow in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.



In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in La Donna’s name.



The family extends a special thank you to the doctors and nurses in St. Agnes Hospital ICU for their support and efforts.
