Laverne A. Wilkum

LaVerne A. Wilkum, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at All About Life Nursing Home. She was born October 27, 1926 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Aloysius and Hildegarde Noll Schulteis. On July 12, 1947 she married Ralph W. Wilkum in Beaver Dam and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2008. LaVerne was a member of Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed sewing, baking, dancing, and loved taking care of her grandchildren.



She is survived by four children, Gregory (Patricia) Wilkum, Fond du Lac, Craig (Bonnie) Wilkum, Kiel, Carrie (Roland) Crook, Fond du Lac, and Robert (Lori) Wilkum, Fond du Lac; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Sawejka, Beaver Dam, Arline (Bud) Immerfall, Beaver Dam, Joyce (Tony) Tennessen, Horicon, Doris (Ralph) Arndorfer, Beaver Dam; one sister-in-law, Benedicta Schulteis, Great Falls, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; one brother, James Schulteis; one brother-in-law, Frank Sawejka.



The visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 12 noon on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
