Leon C. "Lee" Peebles

LEON "LEE" C. PEEBLESLeon "Lee" C. Peebles, age 83 formerly of W5014 4th Street Road, died Saturday, November 26,2005 at Encore Senior Living. He was born on March 24,1922 in Fond du Lac the son of Clarence and Anna Bodoh Peebles. On September 17,1949 he married Carol W. Witte at Plymouth Congregational Church. Leon was a graduate of Goodrich High School Class of 1940. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Merchant Marines. He was a sales clerk at Anders Auto Parts. Leon was a member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ, a past member of the Fond du Lac Auxillary Police, the United Commercial Travelers and a volunteer with Indian Guides and Cub Scouts.SURVIVORS: wife, Carol W. Peebles, Fond du Lac, two sons, Joel (Donnell) Peebles, Grayslake, IL, and Jan (Vicki) Peebles, Appleton, two grandchildren, Thomas and Chloe, one sister, Carol (Joseph, "Chet") Disterhaft, Florida. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ezra "Jay", John, and Glen.



The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 30,2005 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Pilgrim United Church of Christ. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, November 30,2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Pilgrim United Church of Chris with Reverend Ted Drewsen officiating.
