Lincoln H. "Linc" Albertz, 82, of 168 S. Royal Avenue, passed away April 30, 2007, at his home. Born in Shawano, Wisconsin, February 12, 1925, he was the son of Arnold "Chief" and Flora Martens Albertz. Lincoln was married to Sally Powers Zuberbier on February 16, 1963, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac, by Rev. B.J. Stecker. He worked there 43 years until his retirement in 1988. At Mercury he became a leadman, foreman, and finally worked in Quality Control. Considered an expert at keeping Mercury engines running smoothly, he needed only to listen to determine a problem. Coming from a large family, they all considered him a handy-mans handyman.A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac, he served many times as an usher. He was truly a role model for his children. He loved gardening, hunting, and fishing. He made many birdhouses over the years and the trees surrounding his home were filled with them. Visits from his one-year old great-grandson became his greatest joy. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, two sons, Scott (Lisa) Zuberbier, Fond du Lac, Jeff Zuberbier, Phoenix, AZ, and a daughter, Tara (Jim) Suprenand, Fond du Lac.
