Mabel G. Hosking

Mabel G. Hosking, age 102, formerly of 88 4th St, Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had resided since February 20, 2001. She was born on November 8, 1902 in Grant County, WI the daughter of William and Hanna Rekantheler Stippich. On November 20, 1923 she married Harold V. "Hap" Hosking in Galena, IL. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1956. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was honored by the congregation in 1992 for her fifty-year membership. She and her husband came to Fond du Lac in 1929. Mrs. Hosking was employed by Giddings and Lewis for a short period of time and then by Wettstein Insurance Agency as a bookkeeper for nineteen years retiring in 1977. She was an avid bowler and was very interested in sports and crafts.SURVIVORS: two daughters in law, Lorraine Hosking of Madison, Phyllis (Dick) King of Rochester, MN, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, three step great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Paul on February 14, 1980, and Luverne on May 4, 1981, one great-granddaughter Kerri Braun on August 29, 1993, one brother, Ralph Stippich, one sister, Lenice Lomas.



VISITATION: Friday, October 28, 2005 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Friday, October 28, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Anthony Farina officiating. Burial will follow at Rienzi Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to First Presbyterian Church and to the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
