Margaret G. Popp

Margaret G. Popp, 93, formerly of 503 E. Bank Street, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at Grancare Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past four years. She was born July 15, 1913, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Joseph and Lena Whurl Wurmlinger. On October 31, 1936, she married Norbert Popp in Detroit. He preceded her in death in 1965. She later married Arthur Gannon and he preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Popp was a member of the Fond du Lac Public Library Board, AARP, an active member of the Fond du Lac Senior Center, and a past President and former member of the Sunrisers Kiwanis Club. Margaret was employed as an office manager for 30 years by Woodruff Roofing.Surviving is a son Peter (Patricia) Popp of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren: Peter (Barbara) Popp, Jr., and Dr. Suzanne (Kevin Seney) Popp, both of Coronado, CA, and Catherine Giauque of Camarillo, CA, eight great grandchildren, and 5 step-great grandchildren. Her parents, both husbands, a brother, Joseph Wurmlinger, and a sister, Amy Donavon, preceded her in death.
