Margaret M. O'Malley

Margaret M. O’Malley, 83, of Fond du Lac, went to the home of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday December 10, 2014. She was born October 25, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Brockmann) Gillham. On November 27, 1954, she was united in marriage to Marvin O’Malley at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.



She was a member of the Christian Woman’s Society at church, a Librarian at Presentation School, a member of the church choir, devoted to the morning rosary group and the prayer warriors. Margaret enjoyed making scapulars and loved to attend mass. She liked to read, garden, and bird watch. Spending time with family was very important to her.



Surviving Margaret are her nine children; Mark (Sharon), Colleen (Paul) Merkel, Margaret “Peggy” (Joe) Majerus, Lynn (Tony) Thomma, Kathy (Tim) Floyd, Theresa (Rick) Rhoades, Tim (Kathi), Mike, and Erin (Lenny) Wojkiewicz. In addition she is survived by 36 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Kathleen Brown and Ann O’Malley, many nieces and nephews. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, 4 brothers-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law and 3 grandsons.



A visitation for Margaret will be held Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave in Fond du Lac and again on Monday, December 15 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at Presentation Catholic Church, 705 Michigan Ave. in North Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM with Fr. Joseph Dominic presiding. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum – Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Margaret’s name can be made to the charity of your choice.
