Margaret "Peggy" J. Lee

Margaret “Peggy” J. Lee, 89, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital. I was born the daughter of William and Louise Coffers Kimpel on September 7, 1925 in Fond du Lac. I lived in Fond du Lac all of my life. I attended Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Goodrich High School. I was a member of the Class of 1943. I married James E. Large in January 1944. He was killed in service in April of 1944. I married Edwin W. Lee in October 1946. He preceded me in death in June 1967. I worked at South Hills Country Club for 20 years. I retired in 1988. I was a member of the Wau-Bun Girl Scouts for six years. I was a member of the Womens International Bowling League. I was a member of Church of Peace. I enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, bowling, and played Bingo whenever I could. I loved all my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.



Peggy is survived by three sons, William (Judie) Lee, Fond du Lac, Edwin Lee, Fond du Lac, and Timothy Lee, North Fond du Lac; five daughters, Peggy Jo Hudson, North Fond du Lac, Beverly Wenzlaff, Mechanicsville, VA, Judy (Bob) Fraley, Fond du Lac, Robyn (Pat) Martin, Waupun, and Teri (Gary) Schabel, Fond du Lac; 25 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one son, David Lee; one grandson, Frankie; three great grandchildren; one son-in-law, Mark Wenzlaff; four brothers; and four sisters.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
