Marguerite M "Muggsy" Reader

November 3, 1922 — June 29, 2013

Marguerite M. "Muggsy" Reader, 90, of Fond du Lac, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born November 3, 1922, in Spring Lake, WI, the daughter of Henry and Matilda Wegner Wacholtz. On November 24, 1945, she married Gerald E. Reader at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fairburn, WI. Marguerite was formerly employed at Infant Socks, Sears, and the St. Peter School lunch program. She was a long time member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, gardening, sewing, needlework, and spending time in the Wild Rose area at their trailer. Surviving is her husband, Gerald, a son, Ken (Sue) Reader of Fond du Lac, a daughter-in-law, Kathy Reader, of Fond du Lac, six grandchildren, Heather (Kelly) Schubert, Scott, Dan, Jared, Brandon, and Nicole, and a great-granddaughter, Katelyn. She is further survived by a very special niece, Sandy Wroblewski of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jeff Reader, two sisters, Lucille Kelpert and Evelyn Piechowski, and two brothers, Harold and Darwin Wacholtz.



Visitation for Muggsy Reader will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, from 1 to 3:30 PM at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Main Street, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 3:30 PM at the church on Wednesday, the 3rd. The Rev. Michael Zuberbier will officiate and cremation will follow the traditional services. Interment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at a later date. A memorial has been established in Muggsy's name. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
