Marilyn A. Hewison, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, April 1, 2022 at her residence. She was born many years ago to Eugene and Lorraine (Champeau) Brunette, the second of seven children. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Brunette and Terry (Lucy) Brunette; sister, Patricia Zehms. She is survived by siblings, Bonnie (Ron) Marcussen, Vicki (Dennis) Tharp, and Dan (Ruth) Brunette. She is further survived by her daughter, Debbie (Bob) Toth and their children, Jeff (Chrissy) Mand Jr., Melissa (Jiri) Marousek, Brendan (Katie) Duffy, Cheri (Todd) Butz, Chad (Tracy) Toth, Carey (David) Herrick, and Christopher Toth; son, Joe Rashid Jr. and his daughter, April; daughter, Christine (Dave) Riederer and their children, Nick (Sara) Dalton, Christopher (Amanda) Dalton, and Brittany (Colton) Simon; son, John (Lorrie) Rashid and their children, Jack, James and Regan; son, Jeff (Kerrie) Rashid and their children, Tyler, Ben and Alex; son, Gene (Teri) Rashid and his daughters, Samantha and Madelyn; step son, Tom Rashid; and 24 great grandchildren.

Marilyn writes: I was a waitress at Schreiner’s Restaurant for many years where my wonderful customers helped to support my family. Later I moved to Florida with my second husband, Alfie – my darling man! I worked as a saleswoman for U.S. Homes, quite successfully I might add! The very charming Alfred Hewison preceded me in death as did my first husband, Joe Rashid Sr. My beloved late life companion, Jack Bresnehan also preceded me in death.

Her children write: We were blessed to have mom for so many years! She was our cheerleader, confidant, and support. She adored her family and was proud of all of us. Mom enjoyed “Happy Hour”, golf, getting together with friends, music, and traveling. She would travel to anywhere with anyone! She never missed a party if she could help it. She was a staunch Democrat and darn proud of it. She hated (not to be taken lightly) Trump and his time in office – truly the only person she hated!

Mom’s favorite charity was St. Jude’s Hospital, any donations to them in her name would be appreciated.

Many, many thanks to Hospice Hope for their compassionate care and to all of our friends and co-workers for their tremendous support.

Mom’s final words: No funeral! There will be a party to celebrate my life, details to be announced. I’m grateful for my wonderful family, friends and co-workers. It’s been a good life! Thank you!
