Marjorie "Margie" Ruth Reid

Marjorie “Margie” Ruth Reid (von Rohr), 89, of Fond du Lac, passed away late Sunday night on January 24, 2021 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.



Marjorie was born in Milwaukee, WI to Hugo and Marjorie von Rohr on May 20, 1931. She went to school at Pulaski High School. She married Edison Reid on November 22, 1952 in Evanston, IL. She worked as a manager for Everix Bakery for 25 plus years. She enjoyed her many trips with her husband to Big Sky Country Montana. She also enjoyed bowling, golf, and listening to music that her brother John put together for her from his large music library.



Marjorie is survived by her children, Linda (Jim) Weidman of Billings, MT, Susan (Paul) Huizenga of Alto, Tom Reid of Burlington, Bill (Chris) Reid of Fond Du Lac, and John Reid of Oshkosh. Her brother John (Marion) von Rohr, sister Laura Lee, and brother Dan Redlin. Grandchildren, Tom (Jamie) Long, Jenna (Chris) Schmit, Chris (Chad) Flier, Carey (Luanne) Hill, Jesse Huizenga, Erin Huizenga, Shana Strehlow, Dylan Reid, Ryne Reid, Tony Reid. Great-grandchildren Taylor and Landon Long, step-great grandchildren Tyler and Alyssa Lunt, Tristan and Hayden Schmit, Sydney and Jaycy Flier, Lydia Strehlow, and Harlow Pinto.



Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Edison, sister Marie and husband Norm Nehmer. Her brother-in-law Richard Lee and his son Steven Lee, and great-granddaughter Lauren Flier.



The visitation will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A private family funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Due to Emergency Order #1 under Executive Order #82, masks are required while in attendance at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
