Mark S. Neubauer

Mark S. Neubauer, 65, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born January 23, 1950 in Fond du Lac, the son of Roger and Evelyn Wempner Neubauer. Mark graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School in 1968 and persued his Bachelor of Arts in History at U.W. Oshkosh. On June 9, 1973 he married Carol R. Brueske and she preceded him in death. Mark worked for Mercury Marine until his retirement in 1999. He then worked for Trek Bicycles until 2006 and Festival Foods until 2014. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he held office on the church council and was board chairman for Jesus Little Lambs Child Care since 2013. He also held various positions with the Boy Scouts of America from 1990 – 2000. Mark enjoyed reading fiction and was an avid Packer, Brewer and Badger fan.



He is survived by his son, Matthew Neubauer of Baltimore, MD; four siblings, Gary (Carol) Neubauer, Debra (Ron) Kurzynski, Daniel (Debra) Neubauer, and Ann (Mike) Liebert, all of Fond du Lac; his best friend, Mary Mannigel of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carol.



There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Avenue, Fond du Lac with Rev. Brett Naumann officiating.



In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mark's name.



The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Agnesian Hospice and Hospice Home of Hope for the care and compassion given to Mark.
