Mary A. Pittler

Mary A. Pittler, 91 of Woodland Senior Park died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at her residence. Mary was born in Fond du Lac on January 3, 1921 the daughter of Hubert and Rose Voelker Taff. In 1943 she married Donald Gabel in Fond du Lac. Donald preceded her in death in May 1957. On August 17, 1963 she married Stevan J. Pittler at St. Mary's Church. Stevan preceded her in death on July 13, 1998. She was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School Class of 1939. For a number of years Mary worked at National Exchange Bank & Trust and later worked as a clerk for the City of Fond du Lac Water Department from where she retired. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Church and was a past member of the Blizzard Buzzards Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed cooking, snowmobiling, traveling, and especially all the fun times she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.SURVIVORS: Mary is survived by three children, Kathy (Brian) Skupas, Fond du Lac, Steven (Marge) Gabel, Mount Calvary, Michael (Sandy) Gabel, Foley, AL, seven grandchildren Cheryl(Steven) Yahnke, Tracy (Rob) Ansems, Scott (Christine) Skupas, Julie (Andy) Weber, Annie (friend Dustin Tasch) Gabel, Michelle (Joe) Ziegler, Bob (Selena) Gabel, eleven great-grandchildren, Jake and Evan Yahnke, Erich and Jenna Ansems, Brian and Tyler Skupas, Joe, Sara, and Allison Ziegler, McKenna and Josh Gabel. Mary is further survived by two sister-in-laws, Jean (Willie) Zeamer, Beaver Dam, Joyce Pittler, Fond du Lac, Eleanor Kleinschmidt, Fond du Lac, brother-in-law, Kenneth Kleinschmidt, Fond du Lac. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husbands,one sister Audrey (Martin) Phalen, two brother-in-laws, Michael Pittler ,Donald Kleinschmidt and one sister in law, Delores Kleinschmidt.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at the church on Monday 10 AM until the time of services.FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery"Special thanks to the staff of Woodland's for their care and compassion to Mary in these last 6 years. And to Dr. Michael Sergi for his care throughout these many years.
