Mary B. "Bernie" Rutlin

Mary Bernadine "Bernie" Rutlin, age 82, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Woodlands Senior Living surrounded by her family. She was born on April 4, 1931 in Villa Park, IL, the daughter of John and Mary (Foster) Tonini. On June 10, 1950 she married Duane Rutlin at Visitation Church in Elmhurst, IL. They were married for twenty-five years. Bernie was an administrative secretary for the Fond du Lac County Health Care Center for over twenty years, retiring in 2001. But her favorite job was raising her children and being a homemaker prior to working for the county. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Fond du Lac. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, music, dancing, and spending time with her family.SURVIVORS: Seven children, Kathleen Rutlin of Madison, Patricia (Mark) Trepanier of Fond du Lac, Mark Rutlin of Verona, Maureen (Greg Smith) Rutlin of Malone, Mary Ann (Geoff Kox) Rutlin of Madison, John (Cathy) Rutlin of Eden, Thomas Rutlin of Fond du Lac; five granddaughters, Sara Trepanier, Colleen (Charlie Wilke) Trepanier, Christine (Matt) DeLisle, Mary Elizabeth (Derek) Tennessen, Lauren Rutlin; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Tonini of Elmhurst, IL; one brother, John "Jack" Tonini of Elmhurst, IL; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband Duane, two sisters, Dorothy (Norman) Kruse, and Katherine Schleimer.



VISITATION: Monday, July 8, 2013 from 10-11 A.M. at Holy Family Church-Holy Family, 271 4th St. Way, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Monday, July 8 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Church. Cremation has taken place. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Woodlands Senior Living and Generations Hospice for the care and compassion they provided to Bernie and her family.Memorials may be directed to Generations Hospice or a Hospice Organization of one's choice.
