Mary J. Lange

Mary J. Lange, 86, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 18, 1931 in Baraboo, the daughter of Roy and Arvilla Harmel Bailey. Mary attended UW Madison and received her degree as a graduate nurse. On June 14, 1952 she married Melvin Lange, Jr. in Baraboo and he preceded her in death on December 7, 1995. She worked as a nurse for 42 years, retiring in 1995. She also worked as the parish nurse at Hope Lutheran Church for several years. She enjoyed gardening, genealogy, traveling, knitting and sewing.



She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Konnie) Lange of Fond du Lac; grandson, Adam Lange; great granddaughter, Alyssa Lange; two step grandsons, Scott Lawrence and Matthew (Ashley) Lawrence; sister-in-law, Carol (Mick) McIntyre of Baraboo; cousin, Donna Bailey of Baraboo; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; and twin brother, Arlan.



The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be held at a later date in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo.



In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Harbor Haven Snug Harbor Unit or Wisconsin Conservation Wardens Association in Mary’s name.
