Mary K. Abig

Mary K. Abig, 88 of 741 Security Dr. died Monday June 26, 2006 at Grancare Nursing Center. She was born on July 22, 1917 in Wisconsin Dells, WI. The daughter of Claude and Bess Griffith Morris. On Sept. 10, 1949 she married Jacob "Jake" E. Abig at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac, WI. Mary was a bank teller for State Bank of Waupun, and later worked as a secretary to the security director at Waupun Correctional Institution. She was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a former member of Pella Lutheran Church Waupun. Mary enjoyed knitting, reading, and was devoted to her sons, grandsons, and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Jacob "Jake" of Fond du Lac, 2 sons, James (Kris) Abig of Omro, WI John (Gwen) Abig of Port Washington, 3 grandchildren, Scott Abig of Port Washington, Jeremy (Amy) Abig of Charlotte NC. And Joseph "Joey"fiancé (Lauren Beck) of Laurel MD. Three great grandchildren Jeremy Jr., Charlotte and Sophia. Three nieces and nephews, John Rexses of Phoenix AZ. Mary Helz of Fond du Lac, WI and Bill Rexses of White Pine, MI. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Robert Morris and one sister Geraldine Rexses.



Visitation: Will be held Thursday June 29, 2006 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be held Thursday June 29, 2006 at 11:00 at the church. Rev. Fred C. Toppe will officiate. Burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
