Maurice E. Kosloske

Maurice E. Kosloske, 81, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born March 13, 1927 in Fond du Lac, the son of Arthur E. and Lena O. Sonnenberg Kosloske. On July 24, 1948 he married Carol M. Krueger at Salem Ev. United Brethren Church in Fond du Lac. Maurice served in the U. S. Army from 1945 "“ 1947 during the European Theatre. He was a member of Grace Reformed Church, Fond du Lac. He was a bank officer at National Exchange Bank & Trust for 42 years retiring in 1989. Maurice was a past president of the Fond du Lac Noon Lion's Club, on the board of directors for the Visiting Nurses Association and Pregnancy Hotline and a member of the Fond du Lac Jaycees. He enjoyed landscaping, reading, painting, storytelling, listening to Badger games, his dog, Sophie and especially loved spending time with his family.SURVIVORS: Carol, his wife of 60 years; five children, Jeffrey (Debra Tasch) Kosloske, Madison, Connie (Steven) Mensch, Oconomowoc, Judith (Rev. Tom) Gudmundson, Sheboygan, Sheila (Jeffrey) Klintworth, Oshkosh, Joel (Terri Mincy) Kosloske, Oakfield; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; 2 step-greatgrandchildren; one sister, Ione Nelson, Tempe, AZ; one brother, Duane (June) Kosloske, Schaumberg, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; one sister, Verna Miller; two brothers, Irvin and Roger.



VISITATION: will be from 10:00 AM "“ 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Grace Reformed Church, 163 18th Street, Fond du Lac. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the church with Rev. Barry Vegter officiating. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Trier-Puddy Post #75.Memorials may be directed to St. Agnes Hospice Home of Hope or the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.Maury's family offers their sincere thanks to the Lutheran Home staff for their patient, loving and gentle care while he resided there, to those involved with his hospice care and to Pastor Vegter for giving Maury words of encouragement and hope in the Glory that awaited him.
