Michael J. Tarpey

Michael J. Tarpey, age 76, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was born on August 10, 1944, in Chicago, IL, the son of Harvey T. Tarpey and Sinella nee West (Tarpey) Loest. Michael was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and hiking. He had an appreciation for culture and liked visiting museums. He was a man who was a jack of all trades.



Survivors include his two children, Amy (Jon) Tarpey and Tara (David) Peters; three grandchildren, Noah Rhode, Morgan (Thomas) O’Dowd and Sidney (Shantelle) Tarpey; great-grandchild, Lillian; three brothers, Ron Tarpey of Fond du Lac, Ervin (Ann) Loest of Beaver Dam and Dan (Chris) Loest; five nieces and nephews, Ashley (Brian) Fisher, Kaitlyn (Russ) Zupan, Cassaundra Loest, Elena Loest, and John Loest; grand nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfathers, Otto Dingler and Ervin Loest; and two brother, Robert and Dennis Tarpey.



Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. The funeral service will take place after the visitation at 12:30 PM. Cremation has taken place.
