Myrtle M. "Myrt" Stoll

Myrtle M. “Myrt” Stoll, 88 of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Woodlands Senior Center, where she was a resident for the past six years. She was born in Lincoln County, Wis. on March 27, 1928, a daughter of Glenn and Ethel (Cronkrite) Welch. Myrt married Dale Stoll in Gleason, Wis. on July 29, 1951. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1992.



Myrt was an English and Spanish teacher at Sabish Middle School, earning her B.A. in English Education from UW – Madison. She volunteered at both St. Agnes Hospital for many years and Clermont Hospital in Clermont, Fla. For years, Myrt was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Fond du Lac, serving both as a Deacon and with the “Ladies Circle”.



She loved life and loved to laugh. She will be missed by her family and friends.



SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Rene’ Lynn Hemmy of South Beloit, Ill. and Lori Lee Stoll of McHenry, Md; 5 grandchildren, Jason, Peter and Steven, Lindsay and Kimberly; 2 great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Quintin; sister, Irma Lambert of Coatesville, Penn.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, 3 sisters and 1 brother.



MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at the Shrine of Rest Chapel & Mausoleum, beginning at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 with Rev. Jack Harrison officiating. Following the service, a time of gathering will be held at First Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church of Fond du Lac.
