Norman L. Wagner

Norman L. Wagner, 88, formally of 464 Northgate Drive, Fond du Lac, passed into his Savior's arms at Tarfa Terrace on Monday, March 11, 2013. Norman, the eldest of ten children, was born in Fond du Lac on August 18, 1924 to Edward and Bertha Schneider Wagner. He married Kathleen Klima at St. Mary's Church on June 2, 1960.Norman served in Europe during WWII with the U.S. Army. He owned and operated the family dairy farm in St. Peter. He also worked many years at the Fred Rueping Leather Co., the County Safety Building and the Knights of Columbus Council #664, all of Fond du Lac. He enjoyed memberships of the Holy Family Parish of St. Mary's and the Knights of Columbus. His greatest joys in life were family gatherings, playing sheepshead, working outdoors and watching the Packers. Norman will be remembered for being a quiet and humble individual and his strong work ethic.Norman is surv Norman is survived by his two sons, Michael (Roxanne) Wagner of Neshkoro and Christian Wagner of DeForest. Also survived by his sisters Marie Wagner of Madison, Sr. Lorraine Wagner SSSF of Milwaukee, Alice (Thomas) Guilfoile of Appleton, Joan Henning of Madison and Ann Schneider of Sheboygan. Also one brother, John (Donna) Wagner of New Berlin. Surviving also are three grandsons, Tyler (Heather) Gohlke of Neshkoro, Cory (Heidi) Wagner of Auroraville and Shawn Wagner of Princeton. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.Preceding Norman into eternal life is his wife, his parents, his sisters Celine Casper and Ethel Haase, also his brother David Wagner. Also preceding him are his brothers in law and sisters in law, Donald Casper, Jerome Henning, Richard Schneider, John Haase, Charles and Carol Klima, Helen Klima, Rolland and Angeline Hausauer, Melvin and Lorraine Freund, and Thomas and Vivian Klima.The family is grateful to the staffs of Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, Tarfa Terrace and Agnesian Hospice for keeping Norman as comfortable as possible. We also appreciate his former co-workers and many family members for their compassion and numerous visits.



Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 1-2:30 P.M at St. Mary's Church-Holy Family 93 Marquette St. Fond du Lac, WI followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the church.
