Orville C. "Orv" Redmann

Orville C." Orv" Redmann, 79, formerly of 125 Jefferson St. North Fond du Lac, died Tuesday October 16, 2012 at GranCare Nursing Home where he was a resident for the past 3 years. He was born on July 2, 1933 in Brandon, WI the son of Louis and Gertrude Pollock Redmann. He married Elaine Guyette in Brandon on June 21, 1958 she preceded him in death on September 20, 1997. He was employed by the Winnebago Distributing for 15 years, and worked in school maintenance at Horace Mann High School, North Fond du Lac for 30 years retiring in 2007. Orville was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as an usher. He was a past member of the North Fond du Lac Business Men's Club. He managed Lyle's softball teams for 20 years during the 1980's and 1990's. He did fundraising work for Pickett Steam Show Charity. He was also on the board of directors for Marquis Drum and Bugle Corps for six years. Orville loved watching his grandchildren and nephews sporting events. He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Redmann of New Lenox, Il; Martin (Caroline) Redmann of Sun Prairie, WI; two grandchildren Eric and Elise Redman; two sisters, Phyllis Gassner of Campbellsport, WI; Marie (Lester) Baird of Ripon, WI; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elaine, two brothers in laws, Harold Braatz, and Gordie Gassner.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Saturday October 20, 2012 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Dr. Fond du Lac, WI. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Shari Routh officiating. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Trier- Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church or Generations Hospice.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
