Patricia Delmont Albertin Jeffrey

August 16, 1928 — May 13, 2017

Patricia (Pat) passed away quietly on May 13, 2017 in Suamico, WI after a brave struggle with dementia. Born August 16, 1928 in Green Bay, WI to Anton and Lottie Delmont, she came into the world with a smile on her face and a song in her heart. Those traits were with her to the end. Pat graduated from Green Bay West High School and went on to LaCrosse College where she met her first husband, Harold Albertin. After an extended honeymoon in Fort Collins, CO, where Harold received a Masters Degree in Education, the couple returned to Wisconsin and eventually settled in Shawano, WI, where she began to raise her three children.

The Albertin family later moved to Fond du Lac, WI, where Pat continued to pursue her education, receiving an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Stevens Point and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Marion College. After her children were grown, Pat finally was able to indulge her passions for children and teaching. She taught in the Fond du Lac School District for fifteen years, first at Cleveland Elementary, then at 4th Street Elementary and finally at Chegwin Elementary.

After the death of her first husband in 1990 and her retirement a few years later, Pat married James Jeffrey in 1997 and moved back to Shawano. But she never forgot her Fond du Lac friends, annually spending winters with many of them in Florida. Pat had an extrovert’s love of life and you would always find her doing “something” with her favorite people. Whether golfing, bowling, playing bridge, singing in a choir, giving a party, organizing her neighborhood or just visiting family and friends she was always on the go. Her humor, her compassion and her sunny disposition will be missed by all who knew her.

Pat was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Albertin, her parents, Anton and Lottie Delmont, her brother Thomas Delmont and two nieces. She is survived by her second husband James Jeffrey (Shawano, WI), a daughter Mary (Albertin) Locatelli (Laguna Beach, CA) two sons James (Nancy) Albertin (Hayward, WI) and Thomas (Nancy) Albertin (Watertown, WI), three grandchildren Lindsay (Mike Rohlinger) Albertin (Austin, TX), Kimberly (Ben) Workentine (Boise, ID) and Anthony Albertin (Watertown, WI), a 16 month old great grandson Zeke Workentine (Boise, ID), a sister-in-law Gladys Delmont (DeSoto, TX) and nieces and nephews.

Pat would want to extend a special thank you to the staff at Alpha Senior Concepts for the love and care they showed her over the past year and to Heartland Hospice and Lisa Solper for helping to ease her transition.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday June 10, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N Park Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Avenue.
