Paul E. Jasman

April 10, 1930 — December 7, 2022

Paul Edward Jasman passed away on December 7, 2022. Born April 10, 1930 on a farm near Ogdensburg in Waupaca County, to Carl and Mary (Wakeman) Jasman and was the youngest of four children. He attended Smith County Grade School and graduated from Little Wolf High School Manawa, WI on May 28, 1947. Paul married his sweetheart Doloris Fielding on February 20, 1952 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London, WI.


Paul served his country in the U. S. Army at Fort Hood Texas from 1953 to 1955 where he was an instructor in the Gunnery and Tank Warfare, earning rank of Staff Sargent. He has been a proud member of the Knights of Columbus since 1955.


He continued farming with his parents then became a brick sorter at Waupaca Brick, as well as Edison Wood products in New London. Residing in North Fond du Lac, Paul worked as a drywaller for A & H Drywall for 18 years and then retired from Mercury Marine after 18 years of service. He was the Building Inspector for the village of North Fond du Lac for 7 years. He was instrumental in starting the Fond du Lac County Hunter & Firearms Safety Committee teaching classes while chairing that committee from 1967 to 1988. Paul was one of the original Board of Directors that started the North Fond du Lac Youth Baseball Organization.


Paul enjoyed teaching firearms safety and coaching youth baseball. He loved marching in area Fourth of July parades as Uncle Sam, proudly walking on stilts in his red, white, and blue uniform shaking hands and bringing smiles to the villagers. Paul also loved fishing on Lake Winnebago with family and friends, trout fishing, turkey hunting, and deer hunting from a young man to the age of 88. He also sharpened saws and skates via Paul’s Sharp All Shop from his home.


He was a great father and enjoyed supporting his children in sports and all their accomplishments. He loved spending family time with his entire family, especially being the chef of his famous fish frys which everyone enjoyed! As his family grew, Paul also loved the special time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished his many friends and enjoyed reminiscing about the good times with them all.


Paul is survived by his children (and spouses), Larry (Sue) Jasman of Ogdensburg, WI, Paula (Dennis) Zemke of Larsen, WI, Lynn (John) Pollack of Van Dyne, WI, Bonnie (Frank) Cech of Seattle, WA, and Al (Shannon) Jasman of Lake Forest, IL. His grandchildren, Brad Jasman, Kayla (Aaron) Simmons, Jennifer Zemke, Chris (Amy) Zemke, Ben (Kristin) Pollack, Shawn Pollack, Robyn (Chrissy) Ward, Tracy Pollack, Connor and Parker Cech, Meaghan, and Kyle Jasman. His great grandchildren, Reid and Rhett Simmons, Levi and Austin Zemke, Breya, Kenley, Kaden and Gavin Pollack, Veda, Charlie, Eve and Nell Ward.


He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dee; his brother, Charles (Jean) Jasman of Montpelier VT and sisters, Doris (James) Meyer of New London and Kathryn (Neil) Meachem of Marshfield.


Dad, You always said, “It’s up to our Maker” and He chose you now. We love you so much and grateful for the 92 years we had together and all the special memories we’ll hold dear forever. We love you!!



A celebration of life will be held in his memory at Presentation Church, North Fond du Lac on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass.


In leu of flowers or monetary gifts, the family encourages donations to the American Lung Associations, the Knights of Columbus, or a charity of your choice in Paul’s name if you choose so.


The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Woodlands Senior Center.
