Paul J. DeBruin, age 59, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Crossroads Care Center. He was born on February 5, 1959, in Appleton, the son of James and Helen (Hoehne) DeBruin. Paul worked at Mid-States Aluminum for many years. Paul was a 1977 graduate of Horace Mann High School. He enjoyed playing cribbage, dice, and shooting pool. Paul put up a valiant and courageous fight with leukemia for nine years.



Survivors include one son, Forrest DeBruin of Iowa; his mother, Helen DeBruin; his siblings, Linda (Mike) Letz, Beth Rick, Peggy (Allan) Cleland; one aunt, Lorraine Herman; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.



Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A memorial service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow the service at All Faiths Mausoleum, Rienzi Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 6737 West Washington St, Suite 2100, Milwaukee, WI, 53714.
