Paul Robert Hollrith of Fond du Lac, WI, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born June 26, 1929 in Grafton as the third of four children to Joseph and Isabelle (Johannes) Hollrith. For 88 years, Paul lived a life dedicated to service of his country beginning early as one of the first Eagle Scouts in the Grafton Boy Scout Troop 840. He continued his lifetime support of the Boy Scouts, instilling his love and passion to his sons and grandsons whom continued his Eagle Scout legacy. Paul graduated Grafton High School in 1947 and continued his education studying history and law at Marquette University. Following the advent of the Korean War, Paul was commissioned as and United States Air Force officer and completed fighter pilot training serving our country for over 7 years.



Following his service, Paul came home to Cedarburg to serve as deputy sheriff for Ozaukee County while simultaneously studying insurance and establishing his own insurance agency. After further education in investments and annuities, Paul founded Hollrith Retirement Specialists. Along with his future business partner Mary Ann Parr, he assisted numerous beloved clients with investment and retirement planning. Paul garnered immense satisfaction assisting clients’ success where he always believed in “doing things right the first time” and that one “does not leave for tomorrow what can be done today.”



In his time away from serving others, Paul greatly enjoyed traveling abroad and spending time at his second home on Washington Island. Paul was a member of the American Legion Rose Harms Post 355 in Grafton, WI, for over 60 years. Finally, he was active in numerous community service organizations, including Governor of the Kiwanis Club, Fond du Lac Ambassadors and the Catholic community.



Paul is survived by his wife Barbara, 2 sons Mark (Susan) Hollrith of Cottonville, MO and Maj Paul/PJ (Maj Kristin) Hollrith of Panama City, FL, 6 daughters Susan (Keith) Schepp of Weston, WI, Nancy (Erin) Sykes-Slattery of Essex Junction, VT, Patti (Dave) Kent of Eau Claire, WI, Linda Hollrith-Mirkes of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Paula (Jeff) Wyatt of Wausau, WI, Dr. Angel (Dr. Morgan) Jones of Memphis, TN, 17 grandchildren Katherine, Elizabeth, Eric, Christina, Jonathan, Joseph, Benjamin, Spencer, Tara, Harrison, Jefferson, Samantha, Collin, Katlyn, Nicholas, Hudson and Alexis, and 9 great-grandchildren Maura, Sean, Joe, Max, Sarah, Gavin, Griffin, Daelyn and Talia and his sister Jean Sharp of Cottage Grove.



Paul was proceeded in death by his first wife, Daisye Sykes-Hollrith, his brothers George and Joseph Jr. Hollrith, brother-in-law Donald Sharp, and his grandson Lawrence Seiser.



A memorial mass with full military honors will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, WI. Visitation at the church will be prior to mass, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Paul’s name be made to the American Legion Rose Harms Post 355 or the Boy Scouts of America Troop 840 or 777.
