Phyllis I. Tadych

Phyllis I. "Chickie" Tadych, 88, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born the daughter of Clyde H. and Harriett I. Babcock Shaw in Manitowoc, WI on February 5, 1920. On June 21, 1938 she married William Peter Tadych at Sacred Heart Church Rectory in Manitowoc, WI. She was a member of Church of the Presentation, North Fond du Lac and was very active in church activities up until recent years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, driving and especially taking care of her grandchildren and loved her dog, Lilly and her many canaries. Phyllis was a mother to everyone she met. SURVIVORS: husband, William "Chief" Tadych; two sons, Michael (Sandra) Tadych, Bradenton, FL, Peter (Barbara) Tadych, Van Dyne; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara (Lester) Block, Denver, CO; one brother, Malcolm (Margaret) Shaw, Manitowoc; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Brian Tadych; one great grandson, Kurt Hinkley, Jr.; three sisters; three brothers.



VISITATION: will be held from 9 "“ 11 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Church of the Presentation, North Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the church with Rev. John Simon officiating. Entombment will be held at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Macular Degeneration Foundation, Inc.
