Phyllis J. Hatch

Phyllis J. Hatch, age 96, of Rosendale, died peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Tower View Villa in Rosendale. She was born in Oakfield on March 23, 1922, the daughter of Earl and Bessie (Robbins) Zimmerman. Phyllis was a school teacher before marrying Loyd D. Hatch on June 17, 1946. They shared 56 years of marriage together until Loyd’s death on September 4, 2002.

Phyllis grew up on a farm and was proud of her farming roots. She and Loyd loved their farm and Aberdeen Angus cattle.

She is survived by two sisters, Shirley Zimmerman of Rosendale and Doris Harper of York, Penn.; sister-in-law, Jean Zimmerman of Rosendale and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Rosendale United Church of Christ, 204 W. Division St. in Rosendale. A funeral service at the church will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wes Wassell officiating. Burial in Rosendale Cemetery will follow the services.
