Ralph E. Romaine

Ralph E. Romaine, age 74, of 521 Highland Court, Fond du Lac, died Monday, January 7, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on February 20, 1933 in Fond du Lac, the son of Roland and Alice (Buslaff) Romaine. On November 4, 1955 he married Terumi Furuya at the American Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. Ralph grew up in Waucousta. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Air Force. Ralph worked for Mercury Marine. He then worked for Giddings and Lewis from 1964-1994. He was a fan of architecture, especially Frank Lloyd Wright. He enjoyed cars and model airplanes.SURVIVORS: his wife, Terumi of Fond du Lac, his children, Gina (Ron) Fink of Fond du Lac, Debra (David) Lyons of Itasca, IL, Steven Romaine of Sacramento, CA, Julie (Eric) Franson of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren, Lea and Joshua Wiesen, Ashley and Aubrey Kraus, one sister, Barbara (John) Maurer of Delavan, one brother, Alvin (Janice) Romaine of Kewaskum, one brother in law, Jack Vervloet, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Donna Vervloet.



VISITATION: Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 3-6 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: A private family service will follow the visitation. Cremation will follow the traditional services with interment to take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
