Ralph J. Hodgden

July 27, 1923 — March 5, 2006

Ralph J.'Sparrow' Hodgden, 82, formerly of 70 South Lane Apt. B and currently a resident of Manorcare Healthcare Facility, died Sunday, March 5,2006 at the nursing home. Ralph was born July 27,1923 in Fond du Lac, the son Herbert and Charlotte O'Malley Hodgden. On May 30, 1954 he married Ione M. Rohlfs in Fond du Lac. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II as a medic. He was employed by the Soo Line Railroad for over 30 years and worked as a pipe fitter and tinsmith. Ralph was a member of Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran and the Isaac Walton League.He enjoyed being with his family especially with his grandchildren, also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and playing cards.Survivors: his three children; Sue Ann Steffen of Fond du Lac, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Hodgden of Brandon, Sheila Hodgden of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren; Shane Steffen of Fond du Lac, Courtney, Kendell, and Hunter Hodgden of Brandon, brothers and sisters, June Bond of Fond du Lac, Kenneth (Mary) Hodgden of Fond du Lac, Evelyn (Jim) Mullen of Mount Calvary, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two children; Joanne Marie and Jeffrey James, one grandson; Jeffrey Allan Hodgden Jr., one brother, LeRoy G. Hodgden, brother-in-laws and sister-in laws, one niece and two nephews.



VISITATION: for Mr. Ralph Hodgden will be held on Wednesday, March 8,2006 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Thursday, March 9,2006 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services at Church of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 9,2006 at 10:30 A.M. at Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Duane Wisner officiating. Burial will follow at Rosendale Cemetery. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No.75 will conduct military graveside services."Special thanks to the to the Manorcare staff especially to Charity, Debbie, Sara and to Heartland Hospice for their care and concern." A memorial is being established in Ralph's name. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
