Raymond C. Jacobitz, 94, of 60 Mockingbird Lane, North Fond du Lac and currently a resident of Manorcare Health Services since November of 2006, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007. He was born March 23, 1912 in Ladoga, the son of Elmer and Amanda Galow Jacobitz. On December 24, 1948 he married Lorraine M. Klaweitter in Fond du Lac. Raymond was a field man for Stokely's Canning, later worked for Zellner's Drilling in Brandon and he retired from Mercury Marine in 1976. While living in Brandon he was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, serving on the church council and a member of their dartball team. He was also a member of the Brandon Volunteer Fire Department. After moving to Fond du Lac Raymond became a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church and served as an usher. He bowled in various bowling leagues in Ripon and Fond du Lac. He was a member of the Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie #270 and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. SURVIVORS: his wife, Lorraine M. Jacobitz, Fond du Lac; one son, Wayne Jacobitz, North Fond du Lac; three daughters, Vickie (Bret) Taplin, Stevens Point,WI, Jane Blanchard, Amherst, WI, Jarelyn (Daniel) Rohde, Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Jason Jacobitz, Brian (Jen) Taplin, Ryan (Rose) Rohde, Isaiah and Josh Schultz; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Taplin; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Jacobitz, Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
VISITATION: will be from 11AM-1 PM on Friday, March 2, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Shari Routh officiating. Entombment will follow in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
