Raymond H. "Ray" Manderscheid

June 8, 1937 — September 13, 2012

Raymond "Ray" H. Manderscheid, 75 of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, September 13, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1937 the son of Raymond A. and Alma Doern Manderscheid. In January 1958 he married Charlene "Chucky" Thuerwachter she died in July 1992. In October 1995 he married Rita Halbach she died in February 2009. Raymond was a graduate of Chilton High School Class of 1955. After graduation from high school Ray ran the family farm until 1988. From 1986-88 he attended vocational school for training in waste water treatment. On completion of his schooling he worked for the City of Fond du Lac Waste Water Treatment Plant from 1988 until his retirement in March 2007. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Malone and served on the church council. Ray was a longtime member of the Rothmann Cemetery Board. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with friends, traveling and woodworking.SURVIVORS: Ray is survived by his son Bruce (Janet) Manderscheid and their children Kyle and Wesley of Port Washington and grandparent to Sarah, Elizabeth, Matthew, Emerald, Dustan and their children. He is further survived by his two sisters; Gloria (Howard) Sattler, Calumetville and Ardis (Edward) Swensen, Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents and two wives.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Malone.FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Malone. Reverend Keith Weiland will officiate. Burial will follow in Rothmann Cemetery, Calumet County.In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials appreciated in Ray's name to the American Cancer Society.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
