RAYMOND J. DETEMPLERaymond J. DeTemple, age 96, formerly 281 Morris St, Fond du Lac and a resident of 536 E. Johnson St, Fond du Lac died Friday, September 2, 2005 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on October 16, 1908 in Nathan, MI the son of Emmanuel and Elizabeth DeTemple. On August 1, 1940 he married Verne C. Stevens at Green Bay, WI. She preceded him in death on November 13, 1988. Raymond was employed with Mercury Marine and after retirement he later worked as a custodian at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul for twenty years, to the age of 90. He was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, past member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed woodcarving, hunting, clock repair, gardening, fishing, traveling, and was an avid bird watcher. He enjoyed making crafts with his wife Verne.SURVIVORS: one brother, Willington (Verna) DeTemple of Nathan, MI, one sister in law, Vivian Kohn of Fond du Lac, fourteen nieces and nephews, Karen (Ronald) LeGrave, Willington (Karen) DeTemple Jr, Donald (Marie) DeTemple, Dennis (Diane) DeTemple, Shirley (Raymond) Guard, Annette (Oscar) Grinsteiner, Robert DeTemple, Crystal Schihl, Terry (Irene) Douglas, Vivian Cleereman, Charlotte Lynne (David) Kaiser, Coralee (Ronald) Vincent, Cindy Winke, Curtis Pazar. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Verne, three brothers, Edward, Emmanuel, and Michael, two sisters, Anna and Viola.
VISITATION: Tuesday, September 6, 2005 from 10 A.M. until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 12:30 P.M. at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul with the Very Reverend Theodore McConnell officiating. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
