Raymond W. Mand

Raymond W. Mand, age 92, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born on April 2, 1922 in St. Peter, the son of Peter and Elizabeth (Schmitz) Mand. On July 18, 1970 he married Mary Ann O’Keefe at St. Peter’s Church in St. Peter. She preceded him in death on June 21, 2014. Ray grew up working on the family farm and then started working at Mercury Marine in 1964. He was a member of St. Peter’s Holy Name Society, St. Joseph’s Society, Friday Morning Breakfast Club in Peebles, The Malone Museum, The Empire Threshers Association, and Knights of Columbus Council #664. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bowling, and spending time with his grandsons. Ray really enjoyed people, especially all his neighbors throughout the years. Ray had a strong love for his family and especially all of his nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. If you knew Ray Mand, there was always a story involved.



SURVIVORS: one son, Joseph Mand and his wife Pam (Mueller), of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Jackson, Carter, and Elijah; three sisters, Genieveve Kopplin of Watertown, WI, Marie (Wilfred) Abler, and Virginia Schneider, all of St. Peter; two brothers, Servie (Marie) Mand, Leo (Irene) Mand both of Fond du Lac; sister-in-law, Esther Mand of Fond du Lac; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Elizabeth (Schmitz) Mand, one sister Florence Michels, three brothers, Alois, Ambrose, and Alfred “Fritz” Mand, brothers-in-law Alex Michels, Emil Kopplin and Adolph Schneider, sisters-in-law, Lydia and Agnes Mand.



VISITATION: Monday, December 1, 2014 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter’s Church-Holy Family, N8079 Church Rd, St. Peter, WI. Visitation will take place on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.



In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
