Richard A. Hendricks

September 10, 1957 — December 20, 2020

Richard A. Hendricks, age 63, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, December 20, 2020, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on September 10, 1957, in Fond du Lac, the son of Harley “Pete” and Kathryn (Schmahl) Hendricks. Richard received his CDL from Fox Valley Technical College. On July 26, 2007, he married Darlene Dohrwardt in Fond du Lac. Richard worked for the last ten years at Quality Cab. He had many hobbies he loved including gardening, woodworking, and fishing. Richard was a quiet and unassuming gentle person. He loved his family very much especially doing projects with his nieces and nephews. Whether he was building wooden toys, go-carts, or mini-bikes, Richard could do it all. Randy Kind was always there for Richard and they were lifelong fishing buddies.



Survivors include his wife, Darlene; three step-children, Adam Harvey and his son Perry, Lisa (Dan) Stephenson and their kids Trinity Snyder and Destiny Markworth and her son Nathan, Erica Ott and her children, Skiler, Blaise, Zainah, and Willow; his siblings, Bill (Judy) Hendricks, Barbara (Allan) Jackan, Tom (Sharon) Hendricks, Ginny (Mike) Butt, Alice (Steve) Marquart, Michael Hendricks; nieces and nephews, Tim Hendricks, James (Stacy) Hendricks, Julie (Daniel) Follman, Joseph (Angela) Jackan, Michelle Hagen, Tony (Angela) Salzman, Kelly (Nathan) Blackowske, Corinne (Tom) Freismuth, Melinda Hendricks, Katie (Craig) Smith, Laura Butt, Garret Butt; family friends, Kenneth Harvey and Cameron Jacak ; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Kathryn Hendricks; his sisters, Christine Salzman and Katie Hendricks; one nephew, Bradley Jackan.



A celebration of Richard’s life will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
