Richard D. "Rick" Haynes

October 24, 1953 — April 23, 2022

Richard D. “Rick” Haynes, 68, was welcomed into the peaceful embrace of his Heavenly Father’s loving arms on Saturday, April 23, 2022. He was born into life in Stephenville, TX on October 24, 1953, to W.R. and Norma Jean (Wood) Haynes. He graduated from Burleson High School in 1971.While attending Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, OK, Rick met Joy (Hagner) Koplin and they were married on October 1, 1993, in Broken Arrow.



Upon graduation at Rhema, Rick and Joy ventured overseas to China to serve as missionaries until 2012. After returning to the states in 2010, Rick and Joy pastored a church in Canada and Texas for a couple years, and then moved to Wisconsin to be closer to family. Rick then worked at Hallcon Transportation for 7 years as a driver for CN North Fond du Lac Train Yard. His best years were spent on the mission field in China and pastoring.



Those Rick leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Joy Haynes; a step-son, Ryan (Missy) Koplin; a step-daughter-in-law, Christine Koplin; 2 brothers-in-law, Leo (Diane) Hagner, Ralph (Laura) Hagner; 5 sisters-in law, Vi Braatz, Mary (Dan) Shepard, Marie Papez, Nancy Boegel; 3 granddaughters, Kate, Olivia and Grace; 2 grandsons, Tyler (Fiance-Jayden) and Kyle (Leah); 3step-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and many special friends. He is also survived by his brother Randy (George) and sister-in-law, Mary Haynes.



He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rusty; sister, Sue (Haynes) Fortenberry; step-son, Russel Lee Koplin; nice, Rhonda Hagner; 5 brothers-in-law, Edward Hagner, Richard Kopeschka, David Boegel, Tom Papez, Hank Braatz, and his father and mother-in-law, Oscar and Olive Hagner.



The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Lou Ann Biddick, his Primary Care Physician and Sandy Duel of Hospice Hope.



In lieu of flowers, a donation to assist with funeral expenses would be appreciated and a blessing.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM with a service to follow at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
