Rosemary Angela Haensgen

March 29, 1933 — January 3, 2021

Rosemary Angela Haensgen, 87, a former resident of the Town of Taycheedah, died on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Adelaide Place in Fond du Lac where she had resided for the previous four years. She was born in Johnsburg on March 29, 1933, the daughter of Walter and Lucille (Nett) Koenigs. On September 2, 1952, Rosemary married Alfred “Fritz” Haensgen at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2008.



For much of her life, Rosemary was a homemaker. She also worked at Kresge's, Infant Socks, and for fifteen years the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic. Rosemary most enjoyed her time with family, gardening, golfing, birds and reading. In recent years she developed Alzheimer’s which did not stop her from providing joy and happiness to all who spent time with her.



Survivors include her eight children, Allan Haensgen (Sally Freeburg) of Milwaukee, Dennis (Nellie) Haensgen of Johnsburg, Duane (Mary) Haensgen of New Holstein, Mark Haensgen (Kelly) O'Brien of St. Peter, Laurie Hull of Virginia, Lynn (Jim) Watry of Johnsburg, Gary (Michele) Haensgen of Fond du Lac, and Lisa (Chris) Olig of Fond du Lac; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Lucy Brunette, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Leroy Koenigs.



A private family service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park with entombment to follow.



In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Rosemary’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association which can be found on the web act.alz.org



Rosemary’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Adelaide Place, in particular Lydia, Hanna, Ashley, Bobbie, and Janet who loved Rosie and provided exceptional care. In addition, the family would like to thank Generations Hospice.
