Rosemary L. (Fitzpatrick) Schneider

March 18, 1938 — May 11, 2023


Rosemary L. Fitzpatrick Schneider passed away at the Hospice Home of Hope on Thursday, May 11, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 18th, 1938, in Fond du Lac to Delbert Charles Fitzpatrick and Violet (Nast) Fitzpatrick. Rosemary graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School in 1957 and married Jerome Schneider on May 16, 1959.


Rosemary was employed at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home for over 20 years, starting as a CNA and advancing to receptionist and account clerk. After retiring, Rosemary and Jerry were snowbirds in Florida, and Arizona, for six months of the year. After retirement, Rosemary's "fun job" was being a tour director for Nationwide Travel Agency out of Appleton and several tour agencies out of Arizona. Rosemary attended 15 Rose Bowl Parades. Jerry and Rosemary traveled through the United States with their children as well as going to Europe and Canada.


Rosemary was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Hope Ladies Guild, Fond du Lac Community Theater, and Reminisce Writers Group. She was a talented artist whose hobbies included drawing, painting, crocheting, and cooking. She was an avid Packers and Brewers fan and enjoyed playing golf. Rosemary's legacy is that she will be remembered for her sweet disposition, positive attitude, infectious smile, and laugh. Her motto was "Let's just take life one day at a time."


She is survived by her husband, Jerome; her daughter, Jerrae (Tim) DeLap; and her son, Joel (Amy) Schneider. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren, Kathryn (Robb) Duveneck, Jered (Jennifer) Blatz, Taylor and Carson Schneider; as well as her great-grandchildren, Aislyn, Ayden, Alyssa, and Bryleigh; She is further survived by her sister, Caroline (Ralph) Raube; sister-in-law, Shirley Schneider; brother-in-law, James Schneider; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; sister, Diana Mae Fitzpatrick; brother, John Fitzpatrick; sister-in-law, Shirley Fitzpatrick; and brother-in-law, Eugene Schneider.


The visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent Street, Fond du Lac. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM at church. Private family entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
