Ruby Lea Jenkins

Ruby Lea Jenkins, 90, formerly of 31 Guindon Blvd, died Thursday, April 27,2006 at Harbor House where she had been a resident for the past three years. Ruby was born on March 16,1916 at Wheatfield, Indiana the daughter of Ambrose and Nettie Gulbranson Hendrickson. On March 7,1937 she married Edward M. Johnson. Edward preceded her in death in 1953. On February 5,1955 she married Earl Jenkins. Earl preceded her in death in 1964. Ruby owned and operated Ruby's Beauty Salon in Fond du Lac. She enjoyed her family and needlework.Survivors: two daughters, Sandra Egan, Orlando, Florida, and Sally Hopton, Fond du Lac, four grandsons,Paul (fiancé Theresa Castor) Hopton, Milwaukee, Joel (Patti Dunmier), Pittsburgh, PA, Jeffrey (Holly) Hopton, Milwaukee, Joshua Egan, Columbia, Maryland, six great-grandchildren, Ruby Hopton, Mackenzie Egan, and Henry Hopton, Zoe and Lily DuMont, Ian Rodenberger. One adopted granddaughter, Su Rodenberger. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one son, Martin Johnson, one sister and five brothers.



At Ruby's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6,2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
