Ruth E. Boda, 85, of 562 Monmouth Street, died Sunday, January 28, 2007, at her residence. She was born October 11, 1921, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Fred and Augusta Bastian Templin. On September 24, 1938, she married Lawrence J. Boda in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2001. Ruth was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. She had been employed by St. Agnes Hospital in the food service department for 30 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Eagles Aerie #270 Auxiliary, and enjoyed collecting angels, bells, and plates.Surviving are two daughters, Janet (Melvin) Sinotte of Fond du Lac, and Linda (David) Abhold of Livonia, MI, two sons, Jerry (Jane) Boda, and Fritz Boda, both of Fond du Lac, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one son-in-law, Leo Ruhland of Mayville. Further surviving are two close neighbor friends that looked after Ruth, Sue and Don Schmitz of Fond du Lac, and Deb Thomas of Peoria Heights, IL. Her parents, husband, a daughter, Judith Ruhland, two brothers, an infant who died at birth and Raymond Templin, and five sisters, Gen Loucks, Esther Grossen, Hazel Swalby, Elenore Braeger, and Leona Hounsell.



Visitation for Mrs. Ruth E. Boda will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, from 9 to 10 am at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be at 10 am on Wednesday at the church. The Rev. Douglas Hedman will officiate and entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. The family requests that memorials be directed to Aurora Dialysis of Fond du Lac.
