Scott George Wenzel, 17, of W8112 County Road Y, Oakfield, Town of Lamartine, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his residence. He was born July 9, 1990, in Fond du Lac, the son of Ronald and Paula Wolfe Wenzel. Scott was a senior at Oakfield High School where he was on the football, wrestling, baseball, and forensic teams. His many interests included hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Surviving is his mother and father, Mike and Paula Langkabel of Oakfield, two sisters, Robyn and Marie Wenzel, both at home. His maternal grandmother, Karen Wolfe of Mt. Calvary, paternal grandfather, Daniel Wenzel of Milwaukee, paternal grandparents, George and Ellie Langkabel of Plymouth, special grandparents, Gordon and Helen Rose of Fond du Lac and John and Shirley Treptow of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by aunts and uncles, Kevin Wolfe of Fond du Lac, Rick and Karen Wenzel of Freemont, Cathy Anderson of Brantwood, WI, Harry Molkenthine of Plymouth, Danny Wenzel of Bahamas, Jim and Linda Wenzel of Oconto, Daryl and Laurie Tonn of Waukesha, Bob and Lesa Bartel of Sheboygan Falls, Andrew and Christine Peters of Van Dyne, and Dale and Audrey Langkbel of Warrens, WI, and cousins, and other relatives and friends. His father, Ronald Wenzel, paternal grandmother, Darlene Wenzel Langkbel, and two uncles, Robert Anderson and Kevin Treptow preceded him in death.



Visitation for Scott George Wenzel will be on Friday, May 16, 2008, from to 3 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the evening services. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. A memorial has been established in Scott's name. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
