Shawn P. Fravel

Shawn Patrick Fravel, 56, of Ripon, WI, passed away on March 3, 2022 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du lac, WI.



Shawn was amazing with his hands fixing and growing things. He worked as an electrician and mechanic at Del Monte Foods in Markesan and Bremner Foods in Ripon. His greatest passion was gardening. All who knew him witnessed his excitement in January, when the seed catalogs came, this was one of his favorite times of the year. The joy of picking the seeds, trees and especially Iris bulbs, was like Christmas to Shawn. He loved starting the seeds early and moving them outside to the garden. This is one of many memories that will be cherished by those closest to him.



Survivors include his love, Ellen Stewart; their children, Logan Fravel, Dewey Sherman III, and Angela (Gabe) Gorske; his precious grandchildren; his mother, Rita Giese; siblings, Theresa Brandner, Andrea Bielby, and Brian Fravel (Lori); many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Tom Giese and brother, Kean Fravel.



The visitation will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.



Flowers are welcome and other contributions can be made to honor Shawn’s lifelong passion for planting trees and the Arbor Day Foundation.
