Shirley J. Nussbaum

Shirley J. Nussbaum, 85, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born December 3, 1935 to Alfred and Daisy (Fowler) Hicken. Shirl was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School, Class of 1954. On March 2, 1957 she married Leslie A. Nussbaum at Division Street (now Covenant) United Methodist Church where she was a lifelong member.



Shirl and Les enjoyed the tranquil beauty of northern Wisconsin and vacationed in Florence County for over 30 years. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and cheered them on through every game, win or lose. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and was an avid reader.



She is survived by Les, her husband of over 63 years; daughters, Julie (Ken) Bender of Beaver Dam and Teresa Enders of Fond du Lac; sons, Mike Nussbaum of Milwaukee and Dan Nussbaum of Fond du Lac; son-in-law, Shawn McEuen of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren, Clint, Luke and Aubrey Hilt, Corrie (Josh) Fletcher, Travis and Brandon Enders, Devin, Mya and Ty Nussbaum; four great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Hicken; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Albert and Margaret Nussbaum; brother, Mike Hicken; sisters, Joan Harden and Pat (Dick) Herrmann; daughter, Jennifer McEuen: infant daughter, Jessica.



The visitation will be held Monday, January 18, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
