Stanley "Stan" Olson

Stanley "Stan" W. Olson, 79, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital with his loving wife at his side. Stan, as he was affectionately known, was born on April 5, 1934 in Homestead, WI. He was raised by his mother, Violet Olson and his maternal grandparents. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean War. On December 29, 1973, Stan married Marjorie Henning in Chicago, IL. A professional truck driver for his entire career, he maintained an impeccable driving record of 52 years without an accident.In addition to his work, Stan enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. Stan is survived by his wife, Marjorie; five children, George (Sue) Pucker, Richard (Carol) Pucker, Tom (Patti) Pucker, John (Laura) Pucker, and David (Margaret) Olson; eleven grandchildren, Andrew, Angela, Jennifer, Justin, Shannon, Amy, Nicolette, Steven, Michael, Elizabeth and Jill; and seven great-grandchildren. Stan is further survived by a sister, Florence (Pat) O'Brien, a brother, Henry (Vernice) Olson and a special former daughter-in-law, Cheryl Feudner. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Margaret; a daughter-in-law, Mary; and one grandson, Edward.
