Timothy E. Hackett

Timothy E. Hackett, 64, of Oshkosh, died Friday, March 28, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh. He was born April 12, 1949 in Jackson, MI, the son of Thomas and Margaret Smith Hackett. Timothy graduated from St. John's High School, Jackson, MI in 1967 and received his bachelors degree from St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, IN and graduated from University of Detroit Law School. On October 11, 1975 he married Catherine A. Gawlak in Jackson, MI. Timothy worked for Mercury Marine in the Human Resources Department for 30 years and retired from Pacon in Appleton in 2009. Timothy played a large part in starting the Merc Clinic. He was a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association and the North Fond du Lac Optimist Club. He enjoyed golfing, reading and cooking.He is survived by his wife, Cathy; two children, Kelly (Josh) Fiedorowicz, Appleton and Mark (Kari) Hackett, Green Bay; six grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Austin, Tyler, Makenna, and Ben; four siblings, John (Dina) Hackett, Modesto, CA, Margie (Doug) Mckee, Visalia, CA, Mike (Chris) Hackett, Tempe, AZ, and Nora (Roy) Rogers, Comstock, MI; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Thomas.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 "“ 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 10:00 "“ 11:00 am at the church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. Cremation will follow the traditional services. Memorials are appreciated to St. Mary's Springs Academy or St. Vincent de Paul in Timothy's name.
