Virginia "Ginny" A. Ries

Virginia “Ginny” A. Ries, 86, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Grancare Nursing Center. She was born June 29, 1929, in Chilton, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Diedrich Juckem. Ginny graduated from Chilton High School in 1947. She married Raymond Ries on August 11, 1956, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Ginny was the co-owner of Ries Religious Articles since 1956 and Ries Driving School from 1969 – 1989. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, making cut-out cookies, and loved spending time with her family. Ginny took great pride in raising their four children.



She is survived by her husband, Raymond; her four children, Nancy (David Maret) Singer of Fond du Lac, Jean (John) Potter of Brookfield, Carol (Adam) Ries-Holzman of Fond du Lac, and Joseph (Michelle) Ries of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Dr. Melissa Pressman, Michael Singer, Whitney Holzman, Evan, Hunter, and Grant Ries; three great grandchildren, Madeline and Meredith Pressman, and Hunter Wilson. She is further survived by one brother, Leonard (Carol) Juckem; four sisters, Othilia (Arthur) Kozinski, Mary Agnes Leonard, Elizabeth (George) Jost, and Rita (Stanley) Timmer; four sisters-in-law, Ellen Juckem Sturtz, Julie Juckem, Elizabeth Juckem, and Karen Juckem; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, George, Herman, Charles, Anthony and John (Erna); one sister, Lorraine Juckem (Sister Mary Carol, SDS); and brother-in-law, Anthony Leonard.



The visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:30 am on Monday, July 13, 2015, at Holy Family Parish, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, July 13, 2015, at Holy Family Parish. Entombment will take place at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
