Virginia M. Doyle

February 15, 1926 — March 3, 2020

Virginia M. Doyle, 94, of Fond du Lac passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born in Montreal, Wisconsin on February 15, 1926 to Howard and Ella (Egan) McDonell. Virginia was a graduate of Hurley High School as well as the University of Eastern Michigan. On June 30, 1951, she married George Doyle at Sacred Heart Church in Montreal. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1969.

Virginia was a respected and well-known kindergarten teacher at both Roberts and Rosenow Elementary schools for over 30 years. She enjoyed reminiscing about her childhood in Montreal, travelling, bridge, cross country skiing, golf, walking, reading, and playing the piano. Virginia loved attending her children's sporting events. She was a dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers attending their home games since the mid 1960's. As a member of Holy Family Catholic Community Parish, she never missed a Sunday Mass.

Virginia was an exceptionally kind, selfless, and patient mother and grandmother who was dearly loved by her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her four children, Sally Hiross, Greg Doyle, Erin Doyle and Tom (Angie) Doyle; seven grandchildren, Megan (Eric) Fortin, Joe Hiross, Kelleigh Doyle, Andy Hiross, Brynn Virginia Doyle, Shannon Doyle and Ian Doyle; two great-grandchildren, Brycen Ortiz and Ella Virginia Fortin; a sister-in-law Georgiann (Ray) Yung; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband; a son, Brian Doyle; three siblings, Dr. Timothy (Ellie) McDonell, Miriam (Ed) Conley, and Florence (David) McDonald; one brother-in-law, Dr. Raymond Doyle; nephews', Tim Conley and Sean Doyle; and niece Denise Doyle.

The family wishes to thank Hospice Home of Hope and Virginia's in-home caregivers, Suise Hardell and Kayla Jacob, for their compassionate loving care.

Virginia will forever be remembered for the wisdom of her words, the strength of her spirit and the goodness of her heart.



Visitation and service times are pending. Cremation has taken place.
